Is God the Blame?

Deuteronomy 6:14-15, 18-19, 24-25 NIV “Do not follow other gods, the gods of the peoples around you; for the Lord your God, who is among you, is a jealous God and his anger will burn against you, and he will destroy you from the face of the land. Do what is right and good in the Lord ’s sight, so that it may go well with you and you may go in and take over the good land the Lord promised on oath to your ancestors, thrusting out all your enemies before you, as the Lord said.  The Lord commanded us to obey all these decrees and to fear the Lord our God, so that we might always prosper and be kept alive, as is the case today. And if we are careful to obey all this law before the Lord our God, as he has commanded us, that will be our righteousness.”

We have to understand that when bad happens to us that it’s never God’s fault. How is it that He gets the blame when he tells us that when we choose to live right there are blessings. Choose life not death. We can’t be tempted by the things others are tempted with. Then they become a god. The thrones of our hearts where made to fit only the One True God. Anyone or anything else are imposters and are not the perfect fit so they fail us. The highs are temporary. The love is shallow.  They never satisfy us. We feel empty. We go to them looking for fulfillment, always leaving robbed of dreams, family, time, energy and dignity.

God, our Creator and Savior has laid a good life out for us. He’s a good, good father. The god of this world (Satan) promises nothing and steals everything; with the intent to also kill and destroy all that is good and of God.

Cause and effect is a LAW like gravity is a LAW. One action will produce a result.
like 1+1=2. Like gravity: throw a ball up, it will come down.
Take one (1) step at a time like that baby trying to walk. He falls, gets up and tries again; until he accomplishes a series of steps that get him from point A to point B. He experiences success one step at a time. If as babies we sat down feeling defeated after a few falls, we would as adults be still crawling. Knees all calloused and instead of standing tall and upright getting around like adults, we would be below on fours, and only able to see from that position.

See the light (truth) and start walking a step at a time. Your Father stands with outstretched arms encouraging you to come on, saying, “Come on. You can do it. Daddy’s right here to catch you”

He will never leave us forsake us. But, He will step out of our way when we act like, “I got this, I can do it. (I don’t need You).”
His love for us will cause him to stay close enough to hear us when we call for Him. He already knows that we can do nothing without Him. He will answer and deliver us from evil.

Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
John 15:5 . . . for without me ye can do nothing. John 15:5 KJV
Deuteronomy 31:6, 8 NIV The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”
Joshua 1:5 NIV  No one will be able to stand against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you.

Get to stepping! Don’t make a 6 days journey take you 40 years like it did the Children of Israel to go from Egypt (bondage/slavery) to the Promised Land (life is good full of good things and no slavery).

GET UP. Making the decision is the 1st step.

Let each day be a new day. A fresh start.
